Located in an exclusive gated community just south of Montecito, a private & peaceful beachfront estate awaits you. The sign over the rose-covered property gate reads, “It’s never too late for a second childhood”, and this very special property delivers on that promise.
Thoughtfully designed and impeccably remodeled, this 1932 family-friendly home offers amenities for all ages and lifestyles. The home is large and elegant, but it does not take itself too seriously; it offers a host of playful options for indoor/outdoor entertainment, recreation and family fun.
Inside, white-washed clear redwood planks from floor to ceiling create a casual beach-style backdrop. This casual design is enhanced with fine appointments and luxurious furnishings throughout. As the home evolved over the years, many smart decisions were made in order to create the perfect gathering place for family and friends.
The Family Room is the heart of the home with a large sectional sofa and plenty of entertainment including a disappearing plasma TV and a surround sound system. A large dining table in the adjacent Sun Room becomes a central location for game playing, or for casual breakfasts overlooking the backyard and ocean beyond.
The Living Room with large stone fireplace and soaring ceilings is comfortable yet also well suited for sophisticated gatherings. Bright and filled with natural light, this inviting space is adjacent to the formal Dining Room that seats 10 at a large table. A separate corner sitting area offers a quiet place to keep an eye on busy children in the family room, while convenient glass pocket doors keep the noise level at bay!
The gourmet kitchen has every amenity expected in a home of this caliber. A large collection of cookware, dishes, serving pieces and professional kitchen appliances allows sumptuous entertaining with ease.
Down a private hallway is a separate west-wing Guest Suite that overlooks the tennis court and the majestic mountain landscape of the nearby Carpinteria foothills. French doors opening to the central courtyard create convenient outdoor access. For the working guest, a large desk overlooks the tranquil fountain outside. A Jack and Jill bathroom with a unique child-friendly bathtub sits between this room and an adjacent second Bedroom. This an ideal set-up for parents needing to keep children nearby. The second bedroom also has its own private bath with a shower-tub combination.
The third east-wing Bedroom shares a Jack and Jill style bathroom with the fourth Bedroom. This fourth room has a private entrance that opens to the courtyard patio.
The spacious Master Suite occupies the second floor with sweeping 360 degrees views from the Santa Ynez Mountains to the crystalline coastline. A romantic ambiance is created by the fireplace, private balcony and California King size bed. This is truly a quiet and luxurious hideaway with spectacular views and a peaceful feel.
The Master Bathroom with large walk-in shower boasts an extra large soaking tub that overlooks the backyard and sandy beach below. A Hollywood-style lighted vanity mirror and dressing table adds a unique bit of nostalgia and whimsy to the upstairs suite.
The private Guest House on the property is set apart from the main house and echoes the well-kept garden theme with its own rose garden patio and fountain. A Murphy bed and private bath complete this studio cottage.

The central patio overlooking the North/South oriented tennis court offers a variety of outdoor entertainment features.
